An ethical massage therapist would naturally want to be both knowledgeable regarding the benefits and limitations of Reflexology, and qualified to offer a true Reflexology treatment on its own, or in combination with other services. This workshop can guarantee that level of training in a stimulating and fun atmosphere.
The 5000 year old therapy of Reflexology is based on the theory that there are reflexes in the hands and feet that correspond to every organ, gland and part of the body. Proper stimulation of these points improves circulation, relaxes tension, nourishes the nervous system and assists the body in seeking its own equilibrium.
In this workshop you will learn:
- how to give a full relaxing foot Reflexology session.
- the history, benefits and effects of this drugless therapy.
- the "zones" and "maps" of the feet.
- the location of primary reflexes on the feet.
- how and when to augment your Reflexology sessions with hydrotherapy and essential oils.
Please bring a tub for soaking feet, towels, sheets and lubricant. A manual is provided.
